In Matthews 16:19, Jesus says “ And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loose in heaven.”
Do you know that there are things that can block the blessings of God from flowing into our lives? Maybe this blessing that you’ve been asking God to do in your life is blocked by something or some things. Oh yea, God wants to bless you and I; in fact, Jesus says “whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loose in heaven.” That sure shall sounds like to me it’s a guaranteed blessing from the Lord Jesus Christ.
One of the ways that our blessings can be blocked is SIN. This is tops in regard to the many things that could be blocking our blessing from heaven. Before we can ask God for these blessings or breakthroughs, we first must ask him “have I sinned or am I living in sin?” Sin separates you and I from God. Listen to what he says in Isaiah 59:2: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear.” If you and I want heaven to release blessings we must repent from our sins, and do it sincerely, and then God will turn his ear towards our prayer request.
God wants to do big and mighty things in our lives, but we allow sin to block the blessing from God. Sin could be one of the reasons we haven’t received this miracle from God. We live in a world where people don’t want to address the issue of Sin anymore. It used to be if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s a duck. Many Christians are trying to find loopholes around what the Bible says is a SIN. Everyone want to go to heaven and be blessed but many want to live their way and expect God to approve of it.
If you want Bible results you must do it the way of the Bible. You can try doing things your way, just don’t expect GOD to check it off, nor pour out blessing upon it. Ask Jesus to show you if there be any sin in your life that could be blocking your blessing, be open to receive the knowledge of what you may have thought was an okay thing to do, but God say’s it’s a sin in his sight.
