A photo caption in the Nov. 7 Sampson Independent with the story entitled, “Bradshaw wins reelection as county’s Register of Deeds” possibly implied that Judge Carol Jones endorsed Bradshaw. Judge Jones did not endorse Bradshaw. Judicial officials and judicial candidates cannot endorse other candidates pursuant to the N.C. Code of Judicial Conduct. Judge Jones was unopposed this year and on election night, she was celebrating her own reelection to a fourth term as District Court Judge of Sampson, Duplin, Jones and Onslow counties, and she thanks everyone for their support.
